Elizabeth F. Jones, a native of Columbus, Mississippi, joined Cordts Law Firm, PLLC as an associate in 2011. She graduated, cum laude, from The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2005. Ms. Jones obtained her law degree from The University of Mississippi in 2008, graduating cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Jones was a member of the Moot Court Board, serving as Co-Chairman of the Judicial Relations Committee. She also served as an intern for the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office in 2006 and 2007, working in the Opinions and Cyber-Crime Divisions.
Following graduation from law school, Ms. Jones served a one-year term as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Talmadge D. Littlejohn of the First Chancery Court District of Mississippi, gaining experience in family law, real property, wills and estates, and other areas from behind the scenes. Additionally, she practiced with a law firm in Memphis, Tennessee, focusing in the areas of creditor’s rights and commercial litigation.
Ms. Jones is admitted to practice law in all Mississippi State and Federal Courts, all Tennessee State Courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association.
Outside of her professional organizations, Ms. Jones enjoys playing tennis, running, reading, and traveling. She lives in Memphis with her husband and their dog and cat.
